Cherating, Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia

This trip is a breakthrough of my life that I never ever experienced before.

The plan is “no plan” apart from the hotel booking.

Funny part is even though is “no plan”, with the new E-generation, someone will automatically online and search for venue/ info during the journey.

Well, first of all, this trip considered my most costly trip in life so far. 3 days 2 night, total spending is RM320.00 per pax (all in).

The Journey:-

We depart from Selangor in a car which is very comfort for 6 pax (just nice J ). From Subang Kesas toll departs, it took us 5 hours to arrive the destination (include lunch time). We had a F1 driver who drove 160/km throughout the entire journey. We had 3 pretty ladies and 3 gentlemen on board! We had lots of laughter and jokes in this trip. Lots of embarrass stuff happened too!

 I was bite by a monster!

The Accommodation:-

Our trip fall on 31/8 ~ /9/13. Where 31 aug is a merdeka day (public holiday) in Malaysia, 2 bed rooms apartment (2 toilets) is selling at RM552/ night, however, the next day 1/9 only cost us RM260/night. All together for hotel itself we paid for RM812, share among 6 persons.

We checked in Sanctuary Resort Cherating， Kuantan. The resort isn’t well maintained by the management. It’s old, dusty, and smelly. We meet a group of malay students who having function in the resort in the 1^st night. Everywhere is occupied by them include pool, restaurant, parking & beach! There’s no peaceful moment for us in the 1^st night.

The Beach:-

We visited the most famous beach “Teluk Cempedak Beach”. It’s located 30mins drive from the hotel and it’s very near to the city centre.

The beach is famous with its clear water, huge rock, long costline, and it’s connecting to a jungle which allow you to do jungle trekking should one is interest.

Along the beachside, there’re numerous shops and restaurant that can pampered your stay overthere.

The Food:-

A delicious “Red Date noodles” （红枣面线）is located at a corner old shop lot next to “Kuantan Parade”. Just search “Kuantan Parade” and you can get this place. They serve lunch and dinner over here. The same restaurant also have “Coconut Flower Beer” （雪花啤酒）, I didn’t have chance to try because I am having motion sickness this round (car sick).

Seafood is a must eat foods over kuantan. Yummy seafood is everywhere due to the freshness of the food quality. Price is cheaper comparing to Klang Valley area. It’s always good to asked the price first prior to your order to avoid unnecessary argument. Normally Chinese restaurant will be a better option for seafood.

“Curry Noodle” is not famous in Kuantan. However, this restaurant which is famous for curry is located in Kuantan!

“Other foods” are delicious as well ^^ 

The Mountain:-

“Bukit Panorama” (Panorama Hill) (林明山), Kuantan’s resident said: “if you didn’t climb Bukit Panorama, you didn’t visit Kuantan.”

Oh ya~ it’s mountain climbing time! In order to allow you see the most beautiful sunrise, you will need to sanctify your sleeping hours. You are required to arrive there latest by 5am and walk upwards the staircase. I am not sure how many steps are there but I guess at least 5,000! No kidding! There’s no light to help you, please do not forget your touch-light along. The best option will be a head-light. It’s absolutely dark and minds your steps. Not to forget to bring along your “breakfast” and drinking water so that you can drink along the way and “picnic” on top of the hill while waiting the sun wake up :p

We are very unlucky this time. It rain upon arrival of top. We cant see the sunrise. We end up with all scenery picture taking only. However, I love the fresh air top there.

Sungai Lembing Double Rainbow Waterfall:-

Heard that there’s a waterfall which charge entrance fee of RM30/pax. The unique of this waterfall is, everyday before 11am, you can see double rainbow at the same time through the reflection of the waterfall.

I do not able to share much as I do not have the opportunity to visit there this round. Climbing mountain and visit this place cannot be the same morning. Time is insufficient.
